Liege Waffles

I am making my family fat.

I have wanted to make Liege Waffles ever since I saw Samantha Brown try them on her show. By the way, does she not have the best job ever? Travel to different countries, eat their food and stay in nice hotels, and get your own tv show? That lady has got it going on.
I'll post the recipe to this later because I have not found one that is perfect yet. The dough is supposed to form a ball then you stretch it out onto the waffle maker, but mine came out pretty soupy. So google search your hearts out and find a good recipe and share with me!

I have also been looking for a recipe since I saw the same show! I found some at Costco made by Julian's Recipe and yes, they are Liege waffles. Here's a link to his website:http://juliansrecipe.com/products.html

When I make Liege Waffles, I make my own pearl sugar. Quite fun. I take my weekly frustrations out on poor sugar cubes! If you're feeling french one day, you should try a G√Ęteau Breton. Lots of butter, but lots of delish'!

As a Belgian I can tell you Liege waffles don't really require any toppings. They are very sweet so I almostst died when I saw all the syrup in your picture ;-)
