Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Coffee Cake

Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Coffee Cake. The title is surely a mouthful. When I first found this recipe, sorry I can't remember where, I thought 'So it tastes like a cookie? yeah right'. I thought it would be an oatmeal coffee cake. After making it and cutting into it before it had even cooled, I was proven wrong. This tastes like   someone sandwiched an oatmeal cookie right between a coffee cake. So thus the piece was gone in a second. It is more of a dessert so I would save it for after dinner, rather than for breakfast what time of day I would generally assume people eat coffee cake at.

Came to copy the coffee cake recipe and ended up taking the asparagus popover recipe as well. Can't wait to try them both. Thanks!

Oh, my. This looks so wonderful. I have a friend who loves oatmeal cookies, and it would be so fun to surprise her with this instead for her birthday this year. Fabulous.
